| Grow box |
This is the home-made grow box. The dimensions are 30"by32"by63". The light is supported by the rope that goes through an eyelet on the ceiling and ties to the shelf. This allows for the light to be easily raised and lowered. Also the cardboard might not have been sturdy enough to support the light and its reflecter. |

This is the right side of the box if looking at the previous picture. This picture shows the door into the grow box. It warped so I tied a broom handle to the door with shoelaces to straighten it back out. The yellow rope was used to tie the roof back onto the box after the box was cut shorter for height requirements. |

| The setup |
This picture shows how things are setup inside the box. The small pot in the back left contains some spearmint sprouts that I'm trying to get established. There is an exhaust fan on the ceiling in the back left corner and an intake hole cut in the bottom right corner below the door. There are 32 seedlings total. 30 fit into the trays but I moved 2 because the fan blew too hard on them when it turned their way. The fan on the floor oscilates and the other fan is hanging so it blows up under the reflector right at the bulb. This was the only way I could get the temps at or below 80F(got this tip from a fellow GK'er). |
