| Description | My First attempt at growing... 8 Plants on a flood and drain system. I started the plants from seed, putting them under a flouresent after germination. 2 weeks later, I introduced them to the hydroponic system. They are under a 400W Metal Halide light for 18 hours a day, which is mounted on a light Rail. The Grow room took some time to set up. I have both intake and extraction fans to regulate the climate and quality of air in the room, controlled by a Prima fan controller. The flood and drain system feeds the plants 4 times a day, with a nutrient that at the moment is set to a strength of about 900 ppm (parts per million). The ph of the nutrient is kept as close as possible to 6.3. The temperature of the nutrient is kept at 20 degrees C, and the room at about 76 degrees F. An oscillating fan keeps the air moving in the room, so to keep the temperature as constant as possible.
