8-15	The two plants in dirt and five in rail were all clones of the same age(all were cut from the motherplant at the same time). This should give you an idea as to growth rates in soil vs. hydro. You can also see that a 400w metal halide works quite well in this small setup. The system is comprised of two rails (rain gutters available at Home Depot or Lowes, etc and must be plastic), a tank (rubbermaid and also available at Home Depot/Lowes), and a submersible pump. The pump pushes nutrient solution up a hose and into the high end of the rails. The solution runs down the rail, over the plant roots and back into the container. An airstone and air pump help to oxygenate the solution. The dirt plants are watered anytime the dirt becomes dry at a depth of 1 inch, usually every three days or so. Each pic has a mm_dd label so you have a sense of the time scale involved.	12/07/04
8-26	Temperatures should remain constant at 75F. Nutrient in tank should be replaced every week, and "topped off" every day if possible. PH of solution should remain constantly in the range of 5.8-6. In big cities there are usually hydroponic shops that stock a full assortment of hydroponic hardware and nutrient regiments. Ionic Bloom + Green Fuse + KoolBloom is a nice mix for strains with high metabolism.	12/07/04

11-13	Flowering occurs when the lights are on 12 hours and off 12 hours. When plants are flowered they tend to grow another 2/3 of their total height. ie if your vegged plant is 6 inches tall when first flowered, it will reach 18 inches at ripened maturity, roughly speaking.	12/07/04
