Description | This is my indoor medical garden. The most recent pics are at the back pages and the oldest pics are at the front. It took me a while to get to this stage (with a lot of help from growkind.com), but it's coming along. I use one 400w High Pressure Sodium (HPS) & one 400w Metal Halide (HID) at 12/12 for flowering and three 42w compact fluoros (18/6) for moms and veg, and four 4ft brite white tube fluoros for cuttings and clones (also 18/6). I'm currently using two 3foot by 3foot flood & drain hydro systems which share a common 30 gallon reservoir (each unit feeds 1 time a day for 15 minutes - but not at the same time). I use General Hydroponics powder nutrients (grow and flower 1tsp per gallon of water, ph adjusted to 6.3) I used to use soil, in 2 gallon containers with good results, but i'm back to the hydro way (faster & more production - but more can go wrong!). My clones are in 3-inch by 3-inch rockwool cubes (new cuttings are in 1-inch cubes). For flowering I put the 3-inch cubes in 3/4 gallon pots with a general soiless mix consisting of coconut coir, perlite, a little bit of humus and earthworm castings. There's dyatamite at the top and bottom of the pots. I'm going the perpetual garden approach, always having cuttings, clones, moms and bud. as some finish, new ones rotate in. All strains are always labeled. Flower cycles finish every 46-56 days. The HPS finishes about 3 days before the HID.
note: all close-ups taken with a 3inch magnifying glass pressed against the lens of my digital camera. | Type | Indoor | # Plants | 24 | Strains | Ultra-Skunk, Blueberry, Kush, Ogre, White Widow | Lights | 2 400w, 3 42w CF, 4 40w flouros | Medium | 3x3 rockwl, 3/4gal pots, soiless | Yield | about 8 ounces a month | |
Tired of coughing up phlegm?? Here at GrowKind we switched from smoking to vaporizing 10 years ago, and our lungs have never felt better. In that time we have tried every vaporizer you can think of including domes, digital vaporizers, light bulbs, heat guns, and the volcano. Some work better than others but after all that time we still go back every day to our vape pens. Do yourself and your lungs a favor and head over to Vaporwarehouse. Don't Smoke! -- Vaporize!

gonna dip these clones |
the tray on the left with the clones actually has 2 trays. the top one has holes in it. i will take this top tray with the clones and put it in the tray on the right, which has nutrient solution in it. i'll dip for about 10 minutes then put back in first tray and return to the top shelf. i do this daily. |

vegging |
here's some new clones moved to veg. i'll take cuttings from these, then eventually move these moms to bud. notice the bucket on the left. it is some purple kush which i acquired that was completely budded. it was originally grown in an NFT hydro system. i use a raft/float system in a 5 gallon bucket with an air stone supplying oxygen. it took about 6 weeks to re-veg with light at 18/6. |

re-vegging purple kush |
this is a close-up of the purple kush. as soon as it gets a little bigger, i'm gonna cut it for cloning. once rooted, i'm gonna clone the heck out of her. she's supposed to be killer. I'll also get rid of the raft/float hydro once i have clones. |
